Practical support for building a practice that feels like your own.
There’s a lot that goes into starting a private practice, and I know first-hand how difficult it can be to know where to begin. From paperwork and fees to finding clients and organising your week, there are plenty of decisions to make alongside becoming the therapist you want to be.
My mentoring package offers a supportive space to think things through, ask questions and take practical steps forward, with resources and guidance tailored to where you are.
Giving you confidence to take the next step.
This package is designed for trainee therapists planning their next steps and qualified therapists preparing to set up a private practice.
You’re also welcome if you’ve recently started and would like support with the practicalities, getting organised or finding an approach that works for you.
Who is it for?
1
Our sessions will be shaped around your priorities. These might include:
Getting started: the practical steps involved in setting up your practice, initial paperwork and responding to enquiries.
Documents and resources: feedback on an agreed selection of your drafts, such as client contracts, initial emails and website wording.
Fees and boundaries: thinking through your fees, availability, communication and the working week you want to build.
Organisation and admin: developing manageable systems for your diary, notes, session tracking, finances and CPD.
Visibility and referrals: exploring how people find you, communicating your approach and navigating social media thoughtfully and ethically.
We’ll agree a realistic focus together so you have space to make progress on what matters most to you.
What can we work on?

Before we meet
You’ll complete a questionnaire about your experience, plans and questions. This helps me get to know what you’re looking for and prepare for our first conversation.
Session one · 45 minutes on Zoom
We’ll explore where you are, what feels unclear and what you’d like support with. Together, we’ll identify your priorities and agree practical steps for the weeks ahead.
You’ll receive a selection of relevant templates and resources to support you. Depending on your needs, these may include example contracts, enquiry emails, note templates, and trackers for sessions, finances and CPD.
Time to put things into practice
We’ll usually leave 3–4 weeks between sessions, giving you time to explore ideas, try out resources and notice any questions that come up.
You’re welcome to email brief questions about the resources or our agreed next steps during this time. More detailed discussion and document feedback will take place within our sessions.
Session two · 45 minutes on Zoom
We’ll check in on how things have gone, work through questions and develop your ideas further. This is a chance to reflect on what’s working and adjust anything that needs a different approach.
Your personalised action plan
After our second session, I’ll send you a written plan bringing together your priorities and agreed next steps. This concludes the package, leaving you with something practical to return to as your practice develops.
